Connectors, Mavens, Salespeople –
a 90 minute program based on The Tipping Point [Gladwell]

Presented by Victoria Leo, Soar With the Eagles, www.soarwitheagles.biz

Why are we here?

We want to learn more effective ways of connecting our solutions to the people who are looking for our solutions. Mass marketing falls on deaf ears [compared to even 5 years ago]. Developing relationships requires us to know who to focus on. We frequently choose unwisely.

Ideas propagate as epidemics do: a small number of people are responsible for 95% of the disease transmission; little changes can have geometric effects. In this workshop, we are focusing on the first part of this. The second workshop will focus on geometric progression.

What are we going to do today?

The Three Pillars of the Law of the Few: Mavens, Connectors and Salespeople

Mavens have the information. Connectors spread it to the right people. Sales reps convince you to act on it. [Chart not reproduced}

Who do you already have in your networks that are in these categories?

How will you seek out connectors? Mavens? Sales reps? [REMEMBER: Mavens and salespeople are repulsed by sales techniques or manipulation.]  Where do they hang out? How will you recognize them?

What do they need from you?
